LKAB's goal is to have carbon-free products and processes in about twenty years, but as early as 2026, the Malmberget mine will supply fossil-free iron ore to the planned sponge iron plant. For this to become a reality, fossil fuels must be phased out and next year 's battery vehicles will therefore be tested in sharp production.
